The Promise

It was during Christmas dinner last year— over fatty foods, beer, and good company–when I first heard of Timehop and I loved the app since then. It’s the crystal ball of social media. It made me take a look back at whatever I’ve posted online years back. Some cringeworthy, some that I am proud of. This Timehop post is the first on my blog just so I could test how it would look like. See more in the next days.

WordPress App

My WordPress app

The app that I once find useless is now a convenient tool that would allow me more control even with just my smartphone. I downloaded it last year only to realize that this doesn’t work with WordPress.org. Now that I’m back to free hosting I can now utilize this if I don’t have access to the laptop that Marcus and I share.

WordPress Stressed

The villager isn’t impressed. (Image by Marcus, bubbles created using http://wigflip.com)

I have resolved the issue on the slow loading of the visual editor on the admin page but it was neither due to adding the script define( ‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false ) on wp-config.php nor updating the wp-includes/js/tinymce/wp-tinymce.js.gz. I have disabled also the plugins except for Akismet but this did not do the trick either. I switched the theme from Element of SEO to the default Twenty Eleven and somehow it fixed the issue although it still does not perform than it used to plus the fact that I don’t like how the site now looks like. I am hoping that Google will soon lead me to the right solution. The site currently loads better on Firefox but I would love to see it working on Chrome soon.

Food Strips

Wifey and Marcus are away for a vacation which left me no choice but to liver or rather survive on my own. Without wifey, there’s no one to cook food. Without Marcus, there’s no one around hauling Lego figures on the table during meal times.

So to fill that void I feel inside our house, I have come up with what I will start to call Food Strips where I integrate the Lego characters with my cooking skills–or the lack of it. Kudos to the trial version of Comic Life from Softonics and if I am satisfied using it I might pay for its full version after 30 days if the two still decide to stay put in Batangas.

Bye Treadmill

I’m now 30 lbs lighter, he’s 3 years older, the treadmill’s a goner.

I have gotten rid of the treadmill after a finding a buyer online. About three  weeks ago, the initial purpose of the sale was just to free up some space as this exercise machine is just starting to gather dust, but things have changed…

Fixie Finally

After several years of being bike-less and then months of planning to get one for the sake of showing Marcus how to bike, I got my first fixie yesterday which I got from sulit.com.ph.

Once again, an adult bike hangs and this time it’s a fixie.
