Wowowee Exits, Willie Returns

The tenacity of some people is unbelievable. A good example is the infamous host of Wowowee. While most people have sent fireworks in the sky to celebrate his absence from the Wowowee (a show that made him filthy rich and hardheaded, to say the very least), some people from ABS-CBN, surprisingly, were getting their heads together to actually revive Willie’s career. As reported by TV Patrol tonight, Wowowee will be replaced by a new show (with a lame name of Pilipinas For The Win) but the shocker here is that Willie will be back with a brand new show. Can you believe that? After all what was said and done during the reported meeting wherein shareholders aired their disappointment in the lack of significant and quick action of the network’s top executives regarding Willie’s broadcasted threat to ABS-CBN’s management that he will resign if showbiz reporter Jobert Sucaldito isn’t fired soon. Well, what do we know? Our celebration of his demise is short-lived and he now has the last laugh.

But while some “good” people of ABS-CBN are polishing off their plans for Willie’s return, and while Willie is somewhere out there in his yacht or one of his mansions probably drinking a brandy most of us will never get to taste or just even sniff, I might as well give them my suggestions of what shows this foul-mouthed host will perfectly fit in. Here’s what I tagged as #showsnabagaykaywillie on my Twitter account:

1. Battle of the Tactless (a game show co-hosted by Kris Aquino)

2. Basurang Itinapon Mo, Babalik Din Sa ‘Yo (a reality show which is also a perfect metaphor for the returning trash, I mean, Willie)

3. This Is My Show, This Is My Time, It’s My Showtime

4. N.U.A.H – Noong Umalis Ang Hambog (a telenovela about the what happened when he left Wowowee)

5. MAGKARIBAL (a telenovela starring Jobert Sucaldito and Willie)

6. Pilipinas Got Tantrums

7. Umagang Kay Bastos

8. MatangPuhin (a wildlife show featuring only Willie at mga hayop na bugnutin)

9. I Survived (showcasing Willie’s brush with the MTRCB and the gullible ABS-CBN management)

10. The BottomHole (go figure)
