A setback and a cookie

As early as now our group (and we’re the only group by the way) just hit our first setback. After thinking that we may be out of the woods already for having a classmate who can share with us the pharma company he’s currently working for, we received the bad news today that we may not be able to access his own division’s financial statement. How bad is that bad news? Well, it’s very bad. The financial statement is a critical part of the whole STRAMA. If you can’t access it, you’re good as dead. Good as flunked. Yes, that bad.

Since our Saturday’s meeting I felt both excited and anxious. I’m excited that at least I have something to make myself busy by analyzing a company, although it isn’t my own case, which will help me practice on how to do the outline as provided by our STRAMA professor. On the other hand, my anxiety is still caused by the fact that until now I haven’t heard any word from the organization I’m intending to use. If having no access to a financial statement is already worst, then having no company is just major fail. This is probably a good time I visit the school’s chapel.

Needless to say, I feel pressured and stressed right now. It’s during times like these that experts have observed patterns of people eating too much and I agree that they must be right – experts nga eh.The condition is just perfect. I’ve got the reason and I’ve got something to eat – oatmeal cookies!!!

Exactly when I’m struggling with my first STRAMA assignment was when wifey started doing her own homework – baking cookies. And at home, other than her are just me and kiddo who are ever willing guinea pigs – or just pigs, who cared less if the cookies differ in shape and size. What’s more important to us is that these cookies did taste like any other oatmeal cookies and for a first timer, that’s already good news.
