How we drive

Today’s Twitter session brought something new. Other than politics, politics, politics & showbiz – all looks basically the same now, anyway – finally someone tweeted about driving.
One tweep posted this link – Is it possible to design a better stop sign? and reading it led me to more interesting sites like – Howwedrive.com. Both of these links are owned by man named Tom Vanderbilt who also happens to be an author of a book that I really find interesting, TRAFFIC, Why We Drive The Way We Do. I checked our local bookstores and it is now available at Fully Booked Rockwell. Nice. ; )

Another amusing thing happened yesterday in Twitter. Unintentionally my current avatar (which I started using right after May 10) made several tweeps connect me to one of the controversial characters of this post-election investigation – of alleged cheating (surprised?). I’ve got curious tweeps who find it hard to resist asking me if I’m Koala Boy (or Koala Bear, whatever). And to set the record straight…

My picture by the way was shot long time ago (if I’m not mistaken, 2 years ago) after I bought this hood supposedly to be used with my motorcycle helmet. However, I got bored on the way to the mall, stopped, put it on…and my willing wifey took this pic while laughing along the way.

One of my To do Things in 2010 is to drive more defensively which until now seems to be the hardest thing to accomplish with other drivers getting the best of me on a regular basis. Of course, I’m trying my best to get back on track every now and then.
