Integrity versus Expertise

Interesting thing happened in class tonight. In all our classrooms, there’s this excerpt from the graduate school of business’ mission statement projected to the white screen every time there’s class. So while trying to make use of the time as one group prepares for a presentation, our professor said, “Class can you read what’s on the board? Then tell me who the candidate that comes to mind.” Some complied and chorused, “We believe that expertise without integrity is empty…” The room was then almost filled with, “Gibo!!!” Laughter. More joined reading the next phrase, “…and integrity without expertise is ineffectual…” “Noynoy!!!” several of my classmates excitedly shouted, then continued”… while expertise and integrity without service is irrelevant.” “Villar…” a couple of hesitation, then someone defended, “no Villar’s got service, self-service.” Ti abi.
Oh by the way, tonight’s our last night and I remember during our first meeting, our professor made an impromptu poll to see who the majority will vote. Noynoy won by landslide. Villar next. Gibo got one. Guess who that was?

Mood: 2/10 Honks! (Well I finished tomorrow’s school presentation material ahead of time than expected.)
